Excerpt from my book

Keshav looked at the being he had created and whispered,
“Even without a clock, time will try to find you.”

Bhola would wake new every morning.

The pain would stay behind.
The memory would not.

But some fragments—
the deepest ones—
formed before thought, before memory—
would remain.

Stored not in his mind,
but in the shadow of the mind.

“One day,” Keshav whispered,
“that shadow will wake.”

And when it does,
the universe will have to face
what it tried to forget.

Some Stories Don’t Ask for Your Money

Echoes of the Time is a mind-bending sci-fi novella that unfolds quietly and lingers long after the last page.

What is Echoes of the Time about?

Bhola wakes each day with fragments of a life he doesn’t remember.
Reality begins to fracture.
Time refuses to behave.

And somewhere within existence, a force is trying to erase him — not just from the present, but from time itself.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy

Just imagine: you belong to only five percent of the universe. Atoms, molecules, carbon, oxygen, and everything you have ever touched, seen, or felt come from this tiny fraction.

The remaining ninety-five percent is made of dark matter and dark energy. Dark matter is the skeleton—the scaffolding—of the universe, while dark energy drives its expansion and is responsible for the forward flow of time.

Dark matter doesn’t interact with ordinary matter or even with light. It neither emits nor reflects light, which is why we cannot see it. We only perceive five percent of the universe; the rest remains invisible to us.

Dark matter communicates only through gravity, because it has mass. In regions where its density is high, it bends light—since light is affected by gravity. Dark matter is the very reason stars and planets don’t fly apart from their spiraling galaxies; it holds them together with its gravitational pull.

Dark matter doesn’t decay, it doesn’t age, and it has existed since the beginning of the universe. It has no internal clock of its own, yet it affects time through its mass. So if it were ever to take human form, it would carry no memories; the past, present, and future would feel like a single continuous moment, all existing in a kind of stillness.

Where dark matter interacts through gravity, dark energy acts as an anti-gravity force, causing the universe to expand. Together they are the true building blocks—the hidden architecture—of the cosmos. The absence of either would create a profound imbalance, threatening the existence of normal matter itself.

A perfect recipe for science fiction…

Trusting my instincts

Do you trust your instincts?

Himachal forest

I trust my instincts, occasionally. Few years ago I used to trust my instincts all the time, sometimes beyond logic and science. It helped me one time, and I thought I am quite good at it. And so I decided to trust it all the time, but it game me failures and losses.

Therefore, through experience or through years I came to realise trusting your instincts can be helpful occasionally but not all the time. Give emphasis to science or logic too. Though sometimes instincts involve logic too.

What do you think about your instincts? Does it helps you all the times or sometimes?

Currently Reading Mindset (Book)

What book are you reading right now?

I am currently reading Mindset by Dr Carol S Dweck.

It basically talks about two kinds of Mindset in people all around us.

  • Fixed Mindset
  • Growth Mindset

People with fixed Mindset only follow perfection and anything less than that is useless or meaningless to them. They believe that humans are born with  certain abilities, skills or talent and their entire life is defined by those abilities.

From their childhood they are afraid of failures and they always want to have an ultimate level of success. When they don’t get that, they pretend to have that ,so that the others don’t criticize them. Hence, they are very much afraid of criticism, making them unlearners.

While on the other hand, people with growth mindset don’t believe in perfection. They take failures as opportunities to learn more and they give more emphasis to knowledge, experience and growth . They don’t believe that one failure or two can define your entire lifetime and that’s why they are always striving for more.

Even if they get success they don’t stop and continue to learn more to add more skills in their arsenal. They are always hungry for knowledge, making them lifelong learners . This is the kind of mindset we should always have, no matter what our age is.

This is what I am getting from the book, still a long way to finish the book. I hope this post will inspire readers to read the book. Those who have already read it , I would like to know their thoughts on the book in the comments section

It’s about what you do ‘Now’

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Follow me on YouTube

Our brains are coded to dwell too much on our past and future. Time is the most impacting dimension that defines our life. It is up to us to either become a slave of it or hold its strings and dictate terms.

There is no denying the fact that the past teaches us many things and gives us precious memories ( that eventually make us humans). But it is highly elusive, it plays tricks with us when we commit the mistake of identifying with it. We destroy our future by connecting it with our negative past. Even this destroys our present

Yes, it’s difficult to get rid of negative things of the past but there is always a way to do that and I always try to deduce methods to do that. The magic lies in the present. You certainly have something to get fully engrossed in the ‘ Now’. You can take inspiration from the past and use that to your advantage.

What you should ignore , avoid or forget of the past

  • Embarassing moments
  • Fear generating moments
  • Failures that could have been avoided (including silly mistakes)
  • Regrets
  • Accidents
  • Emotional moments especially the  loss of someone

What you should embrace of the past

  • Success but don’t make it infuse arrogance, in fact learn from it and use it as driving force in the present
  • Failures to learn from mistakes
  • Good memories of your loved ones
  • knowledge you acquired
  • Anything that can boost your productivity in the present

Well, apart from this, try to get fully engrossed in the present. The best way to do that is by doing something which you love most. When you are totally lost in the ‘Now’ in doing something which you enjoy then you hardly think about your past or future. You totally forget about  time and make your present as productive as possible.

Life seeping through the cosmos,
Riding on an illusion called as time.
Memories stay forever,
Whether we die or stay alive ..

Another milestone till we die,
Another year we pass through .
Once more we start from day one,
Once more our spirits run high….

Who are You ?

Fighting Stage Fright

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

It’s quite natural for us to feel the fear of going on stage and performing or speaking in front of a crowd. You become numb and either hesitate to speak or forget the tune or lyrics while performing. It mostly happens when you have not done it before or going on stage after a long gap.

It happened to me in my school and college days. If you are reading my blog you know I used to sing and play guitar in my college days. I felt the fear initially and I realised with time that practice off the stage is the key.

The more you practice, the better you will become. When you practice again and again in spite of Knowing that you have mastered it, it comes into your habit. And when something comes into your habit, it doesn’t require much of your brain to process it.

For example if you learnt to drive a car and you are driving it regularly then your brain has very little to do while driving. Your hands and legs move almost automatically on gear , steering, clutch, brake and accelerator since it is engrained in your habit or muscle memory.

This process also works on stage. Most of us feel stage fright and it mostly happens because our mind or brain plays games with us. It haunts us but if you have practiced hard enough your muscle memory (or habit) is more than enough to overcome stage fright.

So next time before you go on stage , make sure you have madly rehearsed your performance off stage.

Can’t live without technology

What technology would you be better off without, why?

I took a lot of time to write this post  . I thought of all the technologies around me and wasn’t able to detest any. I mean how can I face the heat of North India without an air conditioner. Then I thought of smartphones, TV , information technology, internet, all of them made our lives so easy.

On one hand it has helped us so efficiently in COVID times , on the other hand it has made us lazier . We hardly walk or cycle to go from one place to another. We hardly read books to get the answer, when it is easily available on the internet.

You can go on and on talking about the pros and cons of technology but just like the fundamental rule of nature , balance is the  solution. We should avoid the excessive use of technology and constantly check our over dependency on it.
