A Book’s Urge

Resting on a dusty shelf
Leading a life of a recluse
I am waiting for you
To uncover me and embrace

I’ve seen you come and go
Encapsulated in your struggles
Drenched and lost in your life’s web
Time has come to embrace me

In this state of Delirium
Pick me up and set me free
I will guide you towards light
I am your spiritual Ecstasy

Yes, don’t ignore me now
I am your delight, waiting
To be uncovered
On a dusty and humid shelf

There are a few books on my shelf calling to me too their echos say that we must finish a tale we started together their destinies must be realised. I suppose it’s time to reach the end of that lane and step into a new meadow. Lovely poem, I have wrote a few poems too would love your review on it.

Sometimes a book beckons us to come over for a read. I enjoyed your poem because the theme is unique and well-crafted.
