A Book’s Urge

Resting on a dusty shelf
Leading a life of a recluse
I am waiting for you
To uncover me and embrace

I’ve seen you come and go
Encapsulated in your struggles
Drenched and lost in your life’s web
Time has come to embrace me

In this state of Delirium
Pick me up and set me free
I will guide you towards light
I am your spiritual Ecstasy

Yes, don’t ignore me now
I am your delight, waiting
To be uncovered
On a dusty and humid shelf

The Arrow of Entropy

Arrow of time
Pushing us forward to chaos
Our order is melting
With increasing disorder

Aging is difficult
With fears capturing our mind
A man becomes pessimist
With the ticking of clock

This is the law of nature
Law of science
Every system is bound
To collapse or Die

But we have the power
To delay this demon
With firing our love
And Cleansing with compassion

Your inner Battle

Your inner skirmish
Struggle against fears
Your crippling courage
Your Fight to wash blemish
May not see victory
May not witness light
But to flow with the cosmos
Is what made life.
So flow with wind
With your head
Held high
Ecstasy is the adventure
On the rough
Road of life

The Circle – part 2

The Circle-part 1

I looked at my worried father incredulously. The familiar face with more wrinkles and white hair. He was grasping for breath and struggled to speak.

“Damn! That dream again. Forget it, make it quick. It has been raining profusely for the last 4 days. The entire area has been flooded. Ground floor is almost submerged in water. Dress up, there is a rescue boat outside. I am waiting for you there. “

I became paranoid, “It has been raining for 4 days?” My head was exploding, I woke up to another chaos. I quickly dressed up and searched for stairs only to find it completely submerged in water. I ran back to my room on the first floor and walked out of balcony.
It was dark and the rain was falling viciously from the hallowed, black clouds.

“Oh boy! It’s not looking to clear up for at least 4 more days.”

Then I observed the chaos in front of me. The rain had become a belligerent river and was flowing through the street. People were shouting, crying and asking for help.

“Is it our judgement day? Do humanity have to pay what it did to nature? Today is a perfect day for that repayment, that revenge! ”

A sudden lightning crashed through the apartment which broke my thoughts. “ C’mon son, it’s getting terrible “, my father interjected me.He was sitting in a rescue boat with 3 people. They were holding the railing of my balcony meticulously to make the boat stable in the vicious flow. I quickly boarded the boat which started flowing towards the south of the city.

I was wondering where we were going? It seemed like the whole world was under water. My father looked at me with a smile and said, “Stay calm, you are in a circle of life. Confront this bravely. “

I nodded but I knew it could be the end. It became a little brighter like early morning. I noticed a girl in our boat who was staring at me. “I am sorry, do I know you? “, I asked her.

She hesitated, “I have seen you somewhere. ”She was right, she looked familiar. But then we could be from the same locality. So why don’t I know her exactly?

My head started exploding again, an excruciating pain at the back of my head. I wanted to shout but I have to be brave and I felt the hand of my father at the back my head. We were shivering and clung to each other like our existence was dependent on each other.

We then reached an open area with no architecture around which gave an eerie feeling that we were in the middle of an ocean. We had nothing to see but the world around us totally under water. I wondered how much time it would take when one of us give up and loose his mind with no food, drinking water and shelter around.

Our eyes searched nothing but a tiny piece of land where our world could prosper again. And then it happened, one of us gave up. A man in front me started sobbing and screaming , “No one is coming to help us. We all gonna die slowly. No one is alive in this world to save us. “

He was inconsolable and three of us watched him in despair. We couldn’t agree more with him. We all became hopeless. He continued shouting ,”I can’t die slowly, please kill me right now. I want to end this misery quickly. “

He looked at me, grabbed my hand and started hitting himself with my hand. I pushed him aside and watched directly into his eyes. Those eyes looked familiar but I ignored and shouted at him, “If you want to die then why make me a murderer. Jump into the water. But I know you won’t because you are afraid. “

He looked down. I wanted to say more but we saw something in the dark. Another boat started tumbling towards us and for a moment we thought we had someone to share our grief. But instantly our hope faded, the people on the boat looked extremely worried. As their boat came nearer , we saw that their boat was wreaked and it was dangerously filled with water. As it got closer, we saw their ominous faces, ready to pounce on us in order to steal our only refuge.

At that instant, the helplessness of the man turned into evil. The man who few minutes ago wanted to take his own life became a predator. He took out a sharp knife from his pocket and jumped on our attackers. And then at that moment something changed, something clicked in my head and all that pain faded away with my despair turning into compassion. It seemed like I found my purpose. I shouted, “ Don’t Ali! Don’t kill them.” I jumped to save our attackers but by the time I reached their boat, Ali slit the throats of 2 of them and 2 were remaining.

After few seconds their boat was completely drowned. I somehow stopped Ali from killing the other two but he was not going to give up. We pushed each other, tumbled on each other inside the water. Ali shouted, “I found my purpose, you found it too but this time you have to die. “

Yes he was right, he tried to kill me before.

“Not so soon! I am their hope and their hope is my strength. I am not going to kill you, just leave them “, I replied.

I noticed our boat was getting away and so I signalled the other 2 in the water to board our boat. I told them, “Please board the boat in place of us and don’t fight because someone has sacrificed. “ They nodded and boarded the boat.

I saw the four of them sailing away. I wondered, “Four of them? Where is my father? Is he with me in the water?” I turned around and saw nothing. As soon as I turned back I saw Ali jumping full length in the air and pierced his knife deep inside my heart. I screamed, my pain became my feeling and my feeling became my pain. I still searched for my father but then I had to continue with my purpose and that time to survive.

I accumulated all my strength and somehow took out the knife from my heart. The pain brought back few memories. I tried to find Ali but he was gone. But how I came to know about him. I was trying to remember but the headache returned. I had to survive. I started swimming blindly and searched the familiar sand.

The Circle – part 1

Far away on the other side of the river, I saw a woman in white clothes with her little son holding her finger. Their clothes were flowing in the air and they were whispering something. They were hopeful that I would listen to them. They were agitated, they were worried. They wanted to scream but they couldn’t .

Maybe they were shouting but it was only reaching me like a breath flowing through the surface of the river. They wanted me to come to them but this river, it was turning to something else.

I approached the edge of the river, it was becoming red, like blood red. It was poisonous, it smelled like acid. But I felt like I should cross it and so I dived into the river.

It was freezing cold and it slowly numbed my body. I swam as fast as I could against the upstream but I couldn’t move an inch. Something was pulling me from them. I looked back- Oh hell! Thousands of demons, all soaked in blood gathered around me.

They were holding my body, pulling me to every direction. It was pandemonium all around. Their voices all around me, they were screaming at me. It was tearing me apart. I tried my best to move ahead but the more I pulled the lesser I moved.

I looked at the woman, she raised her hand and tried desperately to reach me. I was totally engulfed with pain, dejection and agony. My head was cracking into pieces and my body was trembling with pain. I wanted to get out of that.

“Please, someone help!”

Then I heard the voice-

“Life is just an illusion, what you seek is beyond humans. Wake up son, you have to make it quick. “

I opened my heavy eyes with some difficulty to see the familiar face.
