I am who you Imagine

How would you describe yourself to someone who can’t see you?

At Alpathar lake

Like a whimsical wind,

Flowing from the mountains,

Down to the  jungle of green,

Whispering to the souls ,

Freeing them of the earthly burden,

I am who you imagine,

Free from every attachment,

But loves to roam

Where your heart,

Finds your soul…..

And your tears,

Find your loving emotions….

I am who you love to imagine….

My feet want to sing more

What are your future travel plans?

Buran Ghati

My feet want to feel it again,

The snowy trail to the sky above.

Or the wet greens of the meadows,

Before it sleeps forever….

My feet want to push it again,

Beyond the pain and bruises,

Through the forest and bushes,

Farther, a little bit more….

My feet want to sing with my heart,

The song of mountains and seas,

To the north and south,

From the earth to heaven…..

I want to trek more and push myself to higher altitudes in the Himalayan region. For that I am working more on my fitness. I also want to explore more of the untouched Himalayas in the coming months.

Fighting  Hate

What would you change about modern society?

Hate is on the rise.

Religion, caste, colour, country have become new weapons

to differentiate people.

Showing Humanity is considered a weakness.

So the time has come,

To put your ego aside,

And save this world,

This creation of God,

From the demon called hate,

Through your divine weapon,

Love , respect and compassion.

Maybe you have to go through pain,

Maybe you have to face a war,

But you should not deter

From your path of love,

Because the world you dream,

Is not anything else but this.

Your peace , your heaven lies here.

And heaven sometimes needs sacrifice….

Soundtracks

What do you listen to while you work?

Follow me on YouTube

There is no option for me to listen to any kind of music while working. But while writing or blogging I love to listen to the soundtracks.

My favourite musicians when it comes to soundtracks are Hans Zimmer who produced heart touching score for the movies like Interstellar, inception and dark knight, Hildur guðnadóttir for Joker ,Ramin Djawadi for Game of thrones and Scott Buckley (you can find his music on YouTube and in many of my long form videos).

These soundtracks strike a different chord with you and really touch your soul. If you are writing poetry or an emotional piece then these soundtracks can really help as your thoughts overflow when you are listening to one.

The Valley at Night

There’s something about darkness,Which makes you adore the light more. There’s something within us ,Which guides us to our soul ! What is it that keeps your fire alive,In spite of losing your shore ?Maybe the churning darkness within,That makes you adore the light more ! ©2022 Piyush Singh The picture above is of Manali valley, […]

Let It Go

Follow me on YouTube

The love which is not returned,

Don’t hold it so close,

Maybe its bruises stay forever,

But you have to let it go….

The desire to fly in the sky,

May push you down again and again,

Maybe that sky is not for you,

So please let it go…..

The pain and joy,

Don’t stay forever,

One day we all have to die

And the soul has to let it go……

Season of the rain

Dayara thach ,Himachal Pradesh

Like a soul inside a barren body,

The rain came on the thirsty land.

Like the heart of a compassionate sage,

The rain turned it into green land.

Rain is hope of an impossible dream,

Rain turns everything fertile.

Rain cleanses the dirt of heart and soul,

And uses the dirt to grow the land.

Falling from the sky above,

The holy water of the divine.

Washing sins of the land,

Giving hope to start again.

True Happy moments

Which activities make you lose track of time?

After crossing Afarwat peak of almost 5000 m altitude, we reached Alpathar lake.

The secret of happiness is something to do. And if that job is something you love most, you lose track of time.

From school timings to office hours, from healing physical wounds to recovering from personal loss, from day-night to seasons, humankind is governed by time. In fact such is the law of our universe that without time our existence would not have been possible.

But still, we are so scared of time. We are so afraid of the end that we hardly enjoy the rest of the time. To be honest this mess is not given by time itself but it is something which we have created . Why do we panic when we run behind time, purely because we wasted our present, our ‘Now’.

We wasted our ‘Now’ by doing nothing or by worrying about our past regrets and future worries. But there is a way out of this mess.

Do something which you love most, get lost in that hobby, job or work . Create that obsession which makes you blind to the negativities of past and future. This will make you truly present in the ‘Now’ as time ceases to exist in that moment, truly a happy moment.

For me , when I am hiking or trekking in the mountains , I lose track of time. My entire focus is on the treacherous trail and when I am tired I am rewarded with the beauty of the surroundings. Cold icy winds, snow laden mighty mountains, the wilderness of the terrain make me lost in the ‘Now’.

Also when I am blogging, I lose track of time. Yes, sometimes I lose my words too, but then I shift to reading.

In this way ,if you keep yourself busy and not wasting your present then you can at least eliminate most of the negativity if not being truly happy.

Am I running out of time?

What bothers you and why?

Kongdori meadows gulmarg

Don’t know why it feels more than before , am I running out of time?

When you were a kid you hardly cared about time. You were engrossed in something or in some thoughts that you hardly felt anything passing. Time ran so slow that it felt like you have the power to dictate time.

Then you  started growing and slowly it seemed that the time was running quickly and has almost surpassed you.

And Now, you are far behind it and slowly losing hope of ever going to catch up with it. Maybe there is a scientific theory behind this feeling but surely all our worries, all are disappointments have a great deal of time’ s involvement.

What I think I can do to tackle this feeling is to keep myself busy in one or the other thing. This will surely stop me from worrying about the past or future and keep me in the ‘Now’

It’s difficult to be consistent with this, but you have nothing else but this to save yourself .

Certainty  and Hopes

List 10 things you know to be absolutely certain.

A stream from thajiwas glacier Sonmarg. A receding glacier
  1. Climate change is real – there is no ducking away from the effects of climate change. Indians are facing extreme monsoons causing floods. Excessive heat, droughts in other months. It’s already too late for our actions to tackle this and I am not seeing people taking interest in it.Sooner or later we are going to pay a heavy price for it.
  2. Extremism will completely obscure humanity- Some people have become so obsessed with their religion that they forget or choose to ignore the basic meaning of religion that is humanity. A person’s crime has nothing to do with his religion but his own wrong thoughts. A criminal or evil doesn’t have any religion, he is pure evil and nothing else, should be punished accordingly. But nowadays people choose to avoid humanity and justify one wrong by doing another wrong.
  3. Mental health will surely go down – With the wrong eating habits , bad lifestyle choices and issues like unemployment and poverty, almost the whole world will suffer from bad mental health. That will push us towards the wrong choices affecting the whole world.
  4. AI will affect humanity in a negative way- Already we are witnessing so many job cuts because of AI that I have a very negative feeling about it. It will surely make our life easier but I don’t know how big its impact will be, whether positive or negative.
  5. We Will be too late to find another planet suitable for  living- the rate at which we are progressing in our space explorations , I don’t think we will be able to find another hospitable planet before extinction. Therefore, I always say the amount of money we are spending in space explorations should be spent in preserving our planet, making it better for humankind and other animals.
  6. Relations are becoming weaker- we are so trapped in the rat race of our daily life that we are hardly spending quality time with our loved ones or family. This is not only weakening our relations but the moral values too, which we can only enhance through our connections with our families and loved ones.
  7. People will hardly read books – we are already seeing so many people getting trapped in a technological world that they feel reading physical books is an outdated habit. There is so much information available on the internet that there is no need to shuffle physical books to get the answer. That’s why physical dictionaries have almost become extinct. Most other people are either distracted by other technologies or have shifted to e readers. Some people will surely not agree with me with this point though.
  8. I hope we cure the incurable diseases like advanced cancer- finally a positive hope I have. It is very painful to see your loved ones suffering from incurable disease or suffering from advanced organ failure. I really  think medical science is going at the right pace to cure the incurable .
  9. Safer travel in the future – we see and hear so many road accidents, train accidents and aircraft crash these days . AI will surely make travel safer by eliminating at least human errors( at least I am expecting something good from AI though I am mostly negative)
  10. Humanity as a whole might come together for a bigger cause – we have already witnessed how people of all religions and countries came together to fight a pandemic like the Corona virus. Maybe in the near future an external threat or crisis will unite humanity as a whole
