Throughout our lives we cling onto something, waiting for that thing to give us happiness, success, or something pleasant in return.
But what we get in return? Nothing, disappointment, sadness. Maybe expectations drive us, it pushes us towards our goals, we try hard to achieve that, but in spite of so many efforts we are left with nothing.
Then comes a point of disappointment, grief, frustration because we are still attached with that goal or expectation . This is where we are harming our selves, losing the essence of our lives, we lose our happiness.
This is where we have to give up on those hopes and seek contentment. The biggest thing in life is to understand the right time to give up on something. When it’s really needed to find our true purpose, to find true meaning of life.
Persevering , until we get exhausted and finally find contentment in our efforts. Relationships , goals , success, money all stay here when we finally say goodbye. So why so much fuss for the attachments we live with. Give up on all those things that disturbs our stay here in this life.
Greed is often considered as bad or wrong , in fact it is one of the seven deadly sins we are told to stay away from to lead a better or clean life.
But is it really so bad? I mean it is mostly the driving force of anyone’s life. But again, it can lead to wrong path and could bring chaos.
For instance, if any king or dictator desires absolute power he could bring chaos for the entire world.
On the other hand it can affect the world in a positive way. A person who aspires to become famous through his talent or good work then that greed is good and justified.
If we have a little greed to become or achieve something and work hard towards it, if everyone becomes active that way, renouncing laziness, it could do wonders for an economy.
I mean excess of everything is harmful and to lead an active and balanced life we should drive ourselves with Little Greed .
There is importance of both negative and positive energy in our universe. What brings balance or makes life possible to thrive is the balance of both energies and not the excess of any one.
There is no meaning of cosmos if there is no life.
In the beginning there was only darkness in the universe and then the first generation of stars were born. They died creating first seeds of life, the elements that created us.
Our Star, Sun belongs to the later generation of stars. It made us , it created an Eden for us in the form of Earth so that we can thrive but look what we are doing now.
We don’t own this world and our greed for power has made us blind. The sacrifice of our Gods (stars) mean nothing to us and gratefulness has lost its worth.
Are we going to create order in this universe or just become another chaos of this already chaotic universe?
Is the meaning of the cosmos, the life which it created through so much of pain, would fade away in vain just like the last blip of a star?
No, this is not the way it should be. It took thousands of years for a complex machine like us to emerge out of oblivion. There is a purpose for humans for whom this universe waited for so long.
We have to realise that purpose, a greater cause to fulfil our role in the great scheme of the universe. Humans have a responsibility, some of us would go wrong , would choose the wrong path but then it would be the responsibility of others to correct them.
We gave birth to love, we created empathy, we know the power of compassion, the ingredients of order in this world. The world needs it right now, the universe expect it from us.
Life draped in colours, Shines with every breath, Beats with unwanted grief, Paints a bigger picture, And those who see it Through their soul, Truly fulfil a greater purpose In the scheme of cosmos. An order in the great Chaos !
Life is not only sufferings but also the pleasures we embrace in the form of Colours of Life.
The memories of good times with our people , our presence in the shelter of nature, all of it fill our life with colours like a beautiful painting evoking emotions that touches our soul.
In fact, life is all about enjoying the magnificence of colours through our eyes, which is only possible if we stay in the moment and enjoy every second we are gifted with.
Beauty of nature stops alluring him, money becomes useless to him, pleasures of every sort feel like a curse to him, do you know why? Because he has only few days to live, he is suffering from a rare disease, he doesn’t want to wait to suffer more, he wants to die right now.
But wait, something stops him , he is hit by a magical charm . He can see those brown eyes , that shined like pebbles touched by divine hands. Those eyes chasing the flight of a bird who wants to fly high, those eyes chasing dream and is now watching at him. His little child, his life that will continue to thrive even after his death.
And so he has to live for his kid, his beloved, his people who love him, who depend on him , who are his only solace in his world of sufferings, the reasons he should live for. He has to prepare them , giving them wings ,so that when his time will come they would be ready to live without him .
Life continues to wander in confusion until sufferings come and the reasons become clear.
All the material things which we achieve or aspire to achieve give nothing but momentary joy that vanishes as soon as we face the real test of life, sufferings, failures, losses.
Almost all of us are suffering with this disease called as procrastination. No matter how hard we try we can’t help ourselves to get rid of this disease , yes ,it should be called as a disease. It’s like the most dominating code embedded in our memory.
What is the biggest mistake you make in life? Buddha replied- The biggest mistake you make in life is when you think you have time.
It’s like we delay our most precious work and leave it in the mercy of time. And after sometime we are punished by it. The situation after this becomes so frustrating That our regrets almost kill us.
The funny part is that we know we are doing it wrong but still we can’t help ourselves. It’s like we become slaves of this very tricky phenomenon. Writers are plagued by this, dreamers are crippled by this and it’s tough to get out of this.
Is there any way to get rid of procrastination?
The first step towards this is to know that only ‘Now’ is real and your past or future is imaginary. You can’t control your past and future but you have all the opportunities to make your present as fulfilling as possible.
Everything you do now will automatically affect your future and if you will allow your past to affect your present then it will always give you disappointment and negative vibes.
Laziness is a sleeping giant that eats your precious future, stay away from this ,otherwise you are going to become mad (affects your mental health) in the near future. You can get rid of this with discipline, waking up early in the morning and engaging in half an hour of workout, can create a perfect setup for a successful day. Making this as your daily goal can work wonders for your overall goal.
You are born to follow the path of Karma, your Karma to make a positive change in this world. It starts with you and ends with the happiness of the people around you. Your existence is precious so not only follow your Karma but also worship it .
Even a small change made by you can do miracles for the world, so never ever think that your work is insignificant.
