Calmness is not a weakness but a superpower to stay strong in the toughest of conditions. It makes you think clearly amidst a cacophony of noises and react in the most effective way.
Calmness gives you strength in the moments of disaster and grief. It gives you control over your heart and mind ,and prevents you from reacting in an erratic manner.
So cultivate this habit of pausing before reacting and detaching yourself from all the disturbing noises of the world.
Our minds are coded and programmed by society in a way that we always hope for a bright future, without doing anything substantial in the present.
In fact there is no future if we don’t sow its seeds in the “Now”. It’s like growing a plant by sowing a seed ,watering and taking care of it every single day. Then hoping for the outcome.
Hope resides in the coming ‘Now’ . If you have done your part in the present then you can expect everything bright to follow. I am always excited to face the fruit of my hardwork though I don’t hope much as I haven’t always got the desired result.
Contentment is my only solace where I take a deep breath and say to myself, ” maybe one day”.
Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Our brains are coded to dwell too much on our past and future. Time is the most impacting dimension that defines our life. It is up to us to either become a slave of it or hold its strings and dictate terms.
There is no denying the fact that the past teaches us many things and gives us precious memories ( that eventually make us humans). But it is highly elusive, it plays tricks with us when we commit the mistake of identifying with it. We destroy our future by connecting it with our negative past. Even this destroys our present
Yes, it’s difficult to get rid of negative things of the past but there is always a way to do that and I always try to deduce methods to do that. The magic lies in the present. You certainly have something to get fully engrossed in the ‘ Now’. You can take inspiration from the past and use that to your advantage.
What you should ignore , avoid or forget of the past
Embarassing moments
Fear generating moments
Failures that could have been avoided (including silly mistakes)
Regrets
Accidents
Emotional moments especially the loss of someone
What you should embrace of the past
Success but don’t make it infuse arrogance, in fact learn from it and use it as driving force in the present
Failures to learn from mistakes
Good memories of your loved ones
knowledge you acquired
Anything that can boost your productivity in the present
Well, apart from this, try to get fully engrossed in the present. The best way to do that is by doing something which you love most. When you are totally lost in the ‘Now’ in doing something which you enjoy then you hardly think about your past or future. You totally forget about time and make your present as productive as possible.
A tiny glow in the dark,Shivering with the cold wind.Tormented, scared to surrender ! A struggling ray in the dark Dented and stabbed to limp , Trembles by holding his heart ! A tiny will in the dark,Waging a war with his broken sword, Tries to vanish an army of dark! A fading spark in the dark, Ignites the hopes […]
I recently planted sunflower seeds and it grew very fast. I guess within one and a half months the plant gave flowers. But what I noticed throughout its growth was that the bud took many days to fully bloom.
Once it bloomed the flower continued to bloom for many days without withering. It shows that nature has its ways of educating us. You just have to obey it and listen to its whisper.
While your hardwork takes time to fully bloom ( success )but once it blooms it stays and heals all the pain you have gone through .
Like a sunflower , You shined in the darkness To bring joy to the world around. Like a sunflower, You fought with the turmoil That bruised you within And your feet on the ground . Even the time cannot bend you, As you push it under your feet. Your life ignites with your will, And not with any illusory evil..
We all have our superstitions about the first day of the year and the most famous of them is that we end up doing the same things again and again throughout the year which we do on the first day.
So it is mandatory for me to write today . I hardly posted last year and I don’t think my superstitions work. Anyways, the beginning of the year always lifts up the spirit and it’s better to write now. A few more minutes passes and this post will also end up in the draft.
Lately, if you are reading my blog these days, you will know I have started opening up about my imperfections. I become anxious pretty quickly and every now and then I get a reason to procrastinate.
I know if you overthink, you will end up doing nothing. I know you should do things just for the sake of doing them without thinking much. Well 30s is a kind of age when you know you aren’t doing right(or probably doing nothing) but still you don’t change your course. It is like you have become a robot who refuses to budge outside his code. Maybe that’s a midlife crisis or maybe something else.
Resolutions to improve
Anyways, one more year to look forward to. I will try to improve and will not set up big goals (as they make me anxious). Small goals will do. Some of them could be

Apart from this , I will try to fight my biggest enemy- procrastination ( who is already cursing me for writing this post)
Thank you for reading, I hope you are not bored. I will try to improve my writing too….
When nothing in life makes sense, when you feel lost in the polluted urban jungle which you call home, then you have to go back to your roots, the wilderness from where your species evolved. That place, those mountains from where you truly belong. After another difficult year , I decided to go for another […]
