Pouring Haiku

Dreams splashed high above,
Life Glowed with the melting star,
Stored deep in heart .

Digging through keen eyes,
Divine Words caged deep within,
Unveiled with my tears.

Scattered on Palette,
Shadows fallen from my life,
Painted back to sky.

Near the Star

The perils I taste,
The icy gales I breathe,
All the pains I go through
To seek the abode of happiness!

What is it my heart seeks?
And why I exist in this chaos?
All the questions I try to find,
Up above, on the mountains !

Out in the wilderness of life,
I try to push against headwinds.
I tumble and fall on those slopes,
I try to feel divine through pain!

Up above , near the star,
Where my sweat shined,
My tears twinkled with ice
And my soul became Divine !

Kedarkantha Trek

There is no better way to feel life in its purest form than trekking to the mountains.

The sweat, the pumping hearts, the icy headwinds, the frozen boots and the pain that shatters your ego, you feel it all. You are nothing against the force of nature, against the mighty Himalayas.

I missed it badly throughout the lockdown. And so to quench my wanderlust I  recently trekked to Kedarkantha peak with 24 other adventure seekers.

The trek starts from a small village Sankri which is about 186 km from Dehradun and 432 km from Delhi. It is one of the best winter treks in the Indian Himalayas as you get a lot of snow and 360 degree view of the surrounding peaks from the summit. It is a four day long trek.

You witness the beauty of snow laden pine trees ,a mesmerizing frozen lake by the name of “Juda Ka Talab” and the breathtaking beauty of Himalayas from the peak which is at an altitude of 3800 meters. The summit push in the early morning at about 3 am in the dark is the most thrilling part of the trek.

Juda ka Talab

It becomes tricky near the summit as you walk on a narrow ridge with the slopes downhill on either sides. These slopes remain fully covered with snow throughout the winters. The howling gales try to push you and any wrong step can make you fall straight down the hill, sliding through the snow.

In spite of all such ordeals you are rewarded with the breathtaking view of sun rise from behind the snow laden Himalayan peaks.

The 360 degree view of the nearby peaks from the summit makes it more special . When you reach the summit you find yourself among the surrounding peaks which are no longer above you but beside you. You are continuously hit by the icy winds and you struggle to capture the moments with your bare hands. It is a kind of adventure your soul desperately craves for !

Summit

These mountains are waiting for you, waiting for you to come out of urban chaos and find your true self in the wilderness of nature.

There is nothing in this world that can challenge the magnificence of nature. No human is above it, it will always survive the jolts of pandemic we struggle to face. It was there before our existence and will continue to thrive after we perish. Respecting it can only help us to exist a little bit longer.

When a Star Rains

Sneaking from the Heavens,
Showering bliss on the mortals,
How on earth it rained with snow,
Like the Gods migrated to my soul !

Darkness receded to a hole,
Tears dried under it’s showers,
How it burns to quench me,
As if I took birth thousand times !

O my lovely star ,
You healed me the moment
You came out of the shadows
And rained on me !

Merry Christmas 🎄

A Small Spark

A tiny glow in the dark,
Shivering with the cold wind.
Tormented, scared to surrender !

A struggling ray in the dark
Dented and stabbed to limp
Trembles by holding his heart !

A tiny will in the dark,
Waging a war with his broken sword
Tries to vanish an army of dark!

A fading spark in the dark
Ignites the hopes in the grave,
Before it sleeps in glorious past !

A boulevard of sufferings

Candid shots- pexels.com

A boulevard of worldly sufferings
I chose to stroll at twilight.
A jobless peasant sulking with
Only adversity in belly at roadside !

This boulevard is flooded with tears,
I failed to cleanse with moonlight.
the deafening cries of a mother
Who fails to feed her poor child !

This boulevard of trembling souls,
The victims of apathetic affluence.
The heartless fortunate capitalists
Who ignored them on the road !

This boulevard of cracking bones,
The skeletal remains of humankind.
I tread through this rubble of sickness,
Succumbing to blows of immoral kinds !

Glory Beyond

There’s a bridge across
An ocean full of miseries.
The bridge in the mist
To a paradise beyond !

I tread through that bridge
Through the darkness and haze.
Limped through the thorns
Breaking time and space !

And then I felt….

The caressing blooms
Healing bruises of my feet !
As I dwindle to that glory
Shimmering in the eternal now !

Gratitude

pexels.com

Do you see what I see,
When I see through the lens,
The lens that magnifies
The goodness amidst chaos?

Do you feel what I feel
When I am Cleansed
With the potion of kindness,
Ignoring bruises of toxic thoughts?

Yes, I am transformed,
Hammered with feathery blows
The touch of Gratitude
Which reveals the treasures I have!

I am grateful to all the people who gave so much to me in spite of my ignorance. I am grateful to all the things nature has given to me in spite of my apathy.

Though I will never be satisfied and desire for more because it is my weakness to be seduced by worldly things. And for that, forgive me. I am just a mere soul trying to outshine the dark!

I couldn’t have asked more from the wonderful wordpress community for giving me 1000 followers. Let me sip my coffee which I prefer with sugar and milk and settle down with this amazing feeling, cheers everyone!

The journey so far has been more about downs than ups. I started blogging back in 2015, wrote for 2-3 months and then the gap of almost 5 years, got stuck in a rat race and struggles of life.

I am still struggling but maybe getting to see the bigger picture. You see I use the word ‘ maybe’ a lot because I am so uncertain about things. Many will think how confused I am though they will agree that-

Life is all about uncertainty. One moment you are full of happiness, the other you struggle with grief.

What I am on the scale of cosmos? Nothing, just a whisk of time fading with every single second.

So I prefer to flow with this wind and expecting every possibility of life to face.

This is a new beginning, a new challenge, a new opportunity to grow.
