Blending Science with Philosophy- Part 1

Skepticism is good. In order to know the answer , you need to question. Our sages in the Vedic period were great skeptic and so they spend their lifetime in search of knowledge, light or truth and achieved a lot. That is how we got our country’s name Bharat ( India) in hindi meaning- the place where the people are always in the pursuit of light in every phase of time. The modern world try to understand the phenomenon around us with the help of materialistic science, maybe they don’t understand spirituality and how it works. I strongly believe that there is a connection, a duality. We just need to change our perception and conception to look much deeper, within to find our answers. I know for some this is quite a silly way of thinking but these connections cannot be ignored.

Karma and the law of motion

Karma is your action, your deeds which effects your future. Your good Karma leads towards future happiness and your bad Karma leads towards future sufferings. What goes around , comes around in the wheel of life in the universe. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, that’s what it says in the modern world.

Meditation and the law of gravitation

In the Vedic period the sages did extraordinary things like lifting things above the ground just by focusing, but its a myth, how they did that. Meditation is a common practice to enhance your focusing power and even the West has embraced this in the form of Yoga. Your thoughts have mass( maybe negligible), so law of gravity can be applied on this and so it has the power to attract to bring changes in our lives. We enhance that power through meditation. When large number of people in a Church, temple or mosque concentrate on idols or some other thing, they hormonize the mass of their thoughts to create a much greater mass or force to effect our surroundings. Sometimes those blessings work. The noetic science is working on the same concept.
Every body in the universe attracts each other with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, that’s what we call in modern terms.

Selfless Stone

I am a stone,
Throw me into the river,
Or crush me into powder,
But I will continue to live.
And serve my purpose
Which is to Give,
Shape to your God
Or to create your Abode
This is my selfless life,
Eternally continue to strive
Equanimity is my suit,
My elixir to continue.

The Picture- Short Story

Kailash was staring hard on the cricket ball. When the bowler was about to deliver , a sudden thought struck him. It had happened to him in the past , the same scene in which he stepped down the wicket to hit for six and ended up missing the ball which resulted into their loss. This time he changed his tactics and the history, stayed inside the crease , took a huge bat lift and then the swing. Suddenly the picture started fading away and he woke up. He was disappointed once again. He lost the same match yesterday when he stepped down the wicket and it haunted him in his dreams. He lifted the morning newspaper and tried to ignore the city sports but he couldn’t. He saw the picture and smiled , the similar bat swing. The history changed. It was a dream Luck.

Mind Joke

Daily Prompt- Ha-ha-ha

Focus focus, you
Unstable mind!
Chasing vicarious pleasures,
Away from the book of mine.

Focus focus, you Crazy mind!
Swimming in Paneer gravy,
Tasting noodles, slurping ice cream,
Aah! Far away from this important subject of mine.

Thinking cap, uncapped
You won , I surrender ,
Alas! So disappointing
Is this Brain of mine!

Finding Paradise

Daily Prompt- Place

The space where,
Respect lingers in the valley of Religions,
Love flows in the River of struggle,
Lotus blooms in the pond of compassionate tears
Where is that paradise on earth?

The place where,
Humanity lingers freely,
Guided by the light of that one God.
A mother is not worried,
For the protection of her little child.
Where is that Paradise on earth?

A heaven where,
There is no Bloodshed,
There is only greed of sharing love,
There is only support for the weak,
And the people are not separated by wealth.
Where is that Utopian World?

To say final Good Bye to My Mother

mothers

Set It to Rights-Daily Prompt

My mother was suffering from Kidney failure for over 5 years. Her agony and pain was very deep and regular dialysis was breaking her day by day. She was fighting each and every day to bring smiles on our faces because she knew that our happiness was to see her alive. I remember those nights when she was not able to sleep because of her pain.

I remember those days when she felt better. Right in the morning, she cooked delicious breakfast for me and saw me to the gate and always waited on the door when I came back from college. Those days have gone, now I don’t see my mother waiting on the door but she is watching me from above. She was admitted in the hospital for a minor operation of fistula for her water dialysis .

It was over a month and I visited her twice as my exams were going on. My father hid all the complexities happening with her, from us. And when she was about to give up on life support system , my father finally told us. It came as a shock, the unbearable grief. She was on life support system for over 4 days and when I finally touched her feet in the ICU , two hours later she died. It was like a final farewell she wanted from me to leave this painful world. My father told me she was asking for me in her last days.

I know I cannot bring her back to set things right for her, for us but one thing I definitely want to do, to say final good bye to her with her ears listening and her eyes watching me. Maybe in the dreams I can say that but actually she is always alive in my dreams, when I am sleeping. I will always remember her sacrifice. Your life is so precious and you do not realize it until someone sacrifices for you.

I wrote an elegy in the memory of my mother few days ago-Memories

Courage
Fear captures you, in mind
And then tries to feed your heart
Courage saves you at last.

She

15667_S_Every-Woman-Every-Child.L

She is a symbol of Almighty,
Have the power to create.
When God became enervated,
He passed his power to Her

O Mother!
The epitome of Sacrifice,
Your love is so pure and Divine
That it outshines, even
The God’s Light.

O Woman!
The epitome of absolute Power,
Goddess Shakti in disguise,
The powerhouse of our society,
And the support to all Men.

O Goddess!
In these dark times,
Saving your Pride and Honor,
Will only save our society and the world.
So we take oath, to save you,
Oath of all Fathers, sons,
Husbands, Brothers and Friends.

P.S.- Women are the powerhouse of our society and saving them can only save our future. Poem dedicated to my mother, sisters, friends and all the women for their courage and for their sacrifice for us.

Nature

image

O Nature! your ocular beauty,
Fills my heart with sheer bliss.
Your glowing drops of dew on grass,
With cool breeze sweep my sorrows, at last.

O Nature! you benevolent host,
Your Omens show me the path to flow,
Your Sparrows’ hopping,
And your pigeons’ cooing ,
Give me the symphony
In the morning cold.

O Nature! You Enchanting soul,
You turn my thoughts,
From dissapointment to Hope.
Your aroma of wet earth,
Superseding my agony,
Give me the courage,
In the pursuit of divine soul.
