A Father’s Sacrifice

Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

A man who stood tall,

Against the cyclone of time.

A man who stayed with his love,

Till her last breath,

And kept his promise.

The promise to be the mother,

To be the perfect father,

To their most beautiful creation,

Their kids….

Most of us believe that God has created us, but some skeptics want proof. I guess the biggest proof is always around you, they not only created you but also ensured that you grow up under their shadow to become a perfect image of them .

Yes, they are your parents, they are living Gods around you. They are the epitome of sacrifice , a perfect example that God not only takes care of you but also forgives you if you lose your way.

Exactly 13 years ago ( quite a coincidence with this prompt) my mother took her last breath. She was suffering from kidney failure. My father stayed with her till the end like a pillar.

He used to stay all night with my mother when she felt the pain after every dialysis to give her comfort and in the morning without any sleep he attended his office duties . My mother in her last days was extremely worried about me and my 2 sisters and so my father promised her to be the perfect parent to their kids.

Since then that man has ensured everything in the world for his kids. Like a mother he cooked food for his kids, like a father ensured the safety of his kids and like a God stayed with his kids in their bad days.

It’s quite impossible for me to give back everything to him but I will try my best to be a perfect son. I guess you should worship your parents every day, a time also comes when that baton is passed on to you to become an image of them.

An element of that light is there in all of us and it’s up to us how soon we recognise or realise about that .

Lord Shiva’s Trail-Kedarkantha

Follow me on YouTube

Kedarkantha Trek is the most famous trek of the Indian Himalayas. It becomes a winter wonderland in the winter months (December to February) due to plenty of snow. Many take this trek as a pilgrimage because of various Legends related to Lord Shiva.

The name itself is connected to Lord Shiva – Kedar means Shiv and Kantha means Throat of Lord Shiva.

A Legend says that lord Shiva chose kedarkantha peak as his abode for meditation and solitude but a bull disturbed his peaceful state. This frustrated lord Shiva and he relocated to kedarnath , a town in Uttarakhand India, a more secluded place for his meditation.

Almost in the middle of the trek you witness the beauty of ‘ Juda ka Talab’ , a beautiful Himalayan lake. It is believed that when Lord Shiva was meditating, a drop of water trickled from his hair and formed this beautiful lake.

Juda ka talab

Another Legend is connected to Pandavas of Hindu Epic, Mahabharata. It is believed that Lord Shiva was angry with Pandavas for killing many during the great war of Mahabharata. So for forgiveness Pandavas wanted to meet Lord Shiva. But the Lord didn’t want to forgive them so easily and went to the Himalayas.

So he disguised himself as Bull but one of the Pandavas, Bheem recognised him and went after him. So lord Shiva hid underground and when he rushed from his Hiding place , he let his body ( of bull) get divided into different parts and threw it to different places of Himalayas . His throat fell at Kedarkantha thereby giving the name Kedar+Kantha.

How to Comprehend God?

Something which gives you positivity, something that makes you feel good , something which cannot be explained but makes you feel empowered.

Your parents, friends ,animals , nature and everything in your surrounding have an element of that super power which gives you joy and strength. You can call that thing God or maybe something else but whatever it is it cannot be explained in words.

For me nature teaches you humility, it gives you calmness, It takes away negativity of every kind from your heart and mind. It is nothing less than God to me. Maybe I don’t believe in conventional way to worship God But if you respect nature you have to respect that as well. Maybe there is a hidden meaning behind it.

Kindness is the biggest virtue and if there is some kind of order in this world then it is only because of qualities like that. Your ego should never conflict with kindness and no matter what the situation is ,you should always try to be humble otherwise you might regret later.

To be more precise ,you should follow the path of your Good karma which is your biggest worship , it will never fail you and it will always come back at you in some or the other way in some positive form.

Why we need God…

In order to know him
You have to become a disbeliever
Walk through a sceptical path
Through the maze of darkness
Seek the realm of science
Surrendering to knowledge
Because it is only
Going through darkness
You might find him
And find light

When we were kids, we had so much faith on our parents. They were our Gods and no matter what, they protected us, fulfilled our needs. We had so much happiness in their company.

But as we grow up and get expose to knowledge of our surroundings, we tend to lose that faith with which we were born. We still love our parents but only able to convince ourselves in one or the other way that God doesn’t exist.

The reason behind our sudden disbelieving is our failures, our loss, our defeats. Sometimes, some of us believe so much in science that we think that there is no need of God in the realms of laws of nature.

But believe me or not the first step towards believing is disbelieving. You have to seek the realm of science in order to understand the nature of any supreme being if he exist because maybe we are still in the phase of that dark tunnel.

We are going through a dark time, a pandemic which has defeated our knowledge of science. We still are far away from that ultimate truth, knowledge or science that can fight these situations effectively.

Till then a person who is on his death bed, the only solace for him is his belief on God. God is peace to him, he maybe a state of mind but it is definitely our cure of grief.

Therefore we need God like never before. So all sceptics in the world, maybe you are going in the right direction. Just follow science and have respect for everyone because it is only through humbleness we can see and understand clearly.

The Arrow of Entropy

Arrow of time
Pushing us forward to chaos
Our order is melting
With increasing disorder

Aging is difficult
With fears capturing our mind
A man becomes pessimist
With the ticking of clock

This is the law of nature
Law of science
Every system is bound
To collapse or Die

But we have the power
To delay this demon
With firing our love
And Cleansing with compassion

Welcome to Afterlife

Welcome to Afterlife
You broke loose of Space time
All nightmares ended with life
All you have now
Is bright Sunshine

Now time is your puppet
And you are a Prophet
Either Move backwards
Like a Phoenix from the ashes
Or travel with light
To see the future, so divine

Sent here for a Reason

Mankind!
You are sent here
For a reason
In this ever increasing
Chaos of this universe
You are a moment
Of order
In the vast Disorder
Don’t be a catalyst
Of this increasing disaster
Live this moment in peace
And let love create
A greater ease
Mankind!
You are a precious jewel
An oasis in the
Desert of Cosmos
Let the chaos
Freeze in time
And this moment
Last a bit longer!

Sail through

Sail through
With the faith
Your pursue

Religions are modes Of transport and all roads lead to one ultimate goodness.

Respect other vehicles on the road because we all have to reach smoothly and safely to the same destination.

Also respect pedestrians who are atheists as they too are walking on the same path towards the same Ultimate destination.

Religion Weeps

When time began
In the moment after creation
Earth was barren
And was in dark desolation

Then the Glory of God
Began with his compassion
He introduced his son
And humanity with Religion

But the humanity’s creed
Became his Greed
And he became blind
In the shadow of the dark

Epiphany of religion
Forgotten with time
Humanity killed himself
With his ignorance of light

Now Religion is weeping
With the corps of his son
Humanity is motionless
On the barren land

Lord Shiva and his Dark Energy and Matter

Lord Shiva is not only a deity of Hindus but also the symbol of dark energy and matter. More than 90 percent of our universe comprises Dark matter and energy.

Both dark energy and matter do not come in contact with normal matter and that’s why we can’t perceive it. But it has a force which is helping in the expansion of our Universe. All matter perceivable to us comes from this unknown source.

It is or He is both the creator and the destroyer in our universe . Here’s a poem dedicated to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Shivratri

In the beginning
Life sparked from his singularity
And There began circle of mortality
From Life to death
And death to life
The Circle continue
With his cosmic dance
He is the beginning
He is the end
His light is beyond
Everyone to understand.
His symphony is creation
His song is destruction
His glory will continue
Eternally for everyone.
